FAQ

Questions rental shops ask about Lowkey

Short, plain answers. No jargon. If your shop has a question we haven't covered, get in touch and we'll add it here.

What is Lowkey?

Lowkey is a simple ski label system for rental shops. Each sticker opens a mobile page that helps customers check whether the skis or snowboard are theirs.

Do customers need an app?

No. Customers can tap with NFC or scan the QR code. The page opens in their phone browser.

What does the customer see?

They see the renter’s first name and surname initial, the rental shop name and return instructions.

Does Lowkey track the skis?

No. Lowkey is not GPS tracking. It helps people identify and return rental equipment.

Can we use it without changing rental software?

Yes. The simplest setup uses a spreadsheet upload. You can keep your current rental system.

Can the page use our shop branding?

Yes. The scan page can show your shop name, logo, colours and return details.

Can the physical sticker show our logo?

Yes, but we recommend starting with standard Lowkey stickers. Custom physical branding is better for larger fleet orders.

How long do the stickers last?

Lowkey stickers are designed for multi-season rental use. We recommend testing a small batch on your actual equipment before tagging the full fleet.

Where should the sticker go?

Usually somewhere visible and easy to scan, such as near the binding. The best placement depends on the ski surface and model.

What happens when the rental ends?

You can clear or update the renter. The same sticker can be used again for the next customer.

Who is Lowkey for?
